kau seperti biasa
setelah cerah tanah lewat silau menyimbah
sedang langit menguntum kuning
perut kau telah pun dialas
kerana kau punya satu tugas
yang sudah lama kau galas
demi zuriat kau yang berbelas
kau memang cekal dan lantang
jasad kau berperang
urat leher kau timbul, tegang dan mengerang
kau seperti memikul beban
tapi,
tapi wajahmu dibasahi air tenang
rasa seperti peri lelah kau terpercik
terpercik ke dalam anak mataku
namun kau tetap begitu
terpacak, terpaku dan menahan jasadmu
tubuh kau menapak dan menongkat
kadang helai-helai hijau itu terselak
silau cahaya bola besar
menikam tajam anak matamu
berpinar tapi kau tegar
kau dongak lagi
pedih sekejap.
tapi kau terus berjuang tanpa peduli
bahu kau pasang gagah
tangan kau genggam kemas
demi sesisip rezeki
demi perut-perut yang lapar
tiba-tiba seperti biasa

a) Pertama,mulakan dengan bertaubat dengan sebenar-benar taubat kerana sesungguhnya dosa-dosatidak akan memberi ruang untuk ayat-ayat bertapak di hati manusia.Imam Al-Shafie di dalam satupetikan sajaknya yang terkenal mengadu kepada gurunya akan dirinya yang agak sukar untuk menghafal denganbaik.Gurunya lalu menasihatinya agar meninggalkan dan bertaubat akan segala dosa- dosanya. Quran
b) Mempunyai niat yang benar dan percaya akan balasan baik yang akan diperoleh seperti yang dinyatakan didalam hadis di atas.Mintalah bantuan Allah dengan seikhlas hati untuk sentiasa memudahkan kita menghafalayat-ayat suciNya.
c) Peruntukkan sebahagian waktu setiap hari (atau selang beberapa hari) untuk menghafal ayat-ayatQuran.Masa yang paling baik adalah pada waktu yang kita tidak sibuk dengan hal-hal lain.
d) Gunakan naskah yang sama setiap kali kita menghafal.Ini membantu minda kita menangkap dan mengingat apa yang terdapat pada helaian muka surat yang kita ingin hafal.(mind snapshot) Quran
e) Mulakan dengan surah-surah yang paling mudah bagi kita.Ramai yang menyarankan agar hafalan bermula dengan lima juzu' terakhir( bermula dengan juzu' 30,juzu' 29 dan seterusnya)
f) Hafalan juga boleh dimulakan dengan surah-surah yang paling kita gemar membacanya atau yang selalu kita dengar ataupun yang kita sudah biasa dan sudah pula ingat sebahagiannya.
g) Sebenarnya, lebih muda umur kita, lebih mudah untuk kita menghafalnya.Semakin kita berumur, kita akanlebih sibuk dengan pelbagai urusan dan kemampuan untuk mengingat juga semakin berkurangan. Walaubagaimanapun,walau berapa pun umur kita, kita masih belum terlambat sebenarnya,insya Allah. Walaupun kita tidak pernah menghafal ayat-ayat pada usia kecil atau pada masa usia remaja, namun kita masih lagi berpeluang menghafalnya jika kita mahu.
h) Setelah menghafal beberapa ayat, cubalah membacanya di dalam solat-solat sunat yang biasa kitalakukan.Selain itu,mintalah bantuan rakan-rakan ataupun pasangan kita untuk mendengar bacaan hafalan ayat-ayat itu .
i) Menghafal secara berkumpulan juga merupakan satu cara yang baik apatah lagi dengan sentiasa bersama-sama memberi galakan di antara satu sama lain.Sebagai ibu bapa pula,apa salahnya mewujudkan pertandingan di antara anak-anak dan memberi hadiah pada siapa yang berjaya menghafal dengan baik.

Botol
Pada satu hari seorang lelaki tua berumur 75 tahun
telah datang berjumpa dengan seorang doktor untuk
membuat analisis kandungan jumlah sperma yang ada di
dalam air maninya. Kemudian doktor itu pun memberikan
botol sambil berkata "Pakcik ambil botol ini dan esok
datang balik jumpa saya bersama dengan contoh air mani
pakcik di dalam botol ini ye."
Pada keesokan harinya, lelaki tua itu datang kembali
bersama botol yang diberikan oleh doktor semalam.
Namun begitu doktor itu tengok di dalam botol itu
kosong saja dan tidak ada lansung air mani orang tua
itu. Lalu doktor pun bertanya kepada orang tua
tersebut, mengapa tak diisi contoh air mani ke dalam
botol tersebut.
Lalu lelaki tua itu pun menjawap.
"Tuan doktor, ceritanya begini, memula tu saya gunakan
tangan kanan saya tapi tak dapat jugak. Kemudian saya
cuba guna pula tangan kiri saya pun tak dapat jugak.
Kemudian saya suruh isteri saya tolong pula. Isteri
saya memula guna tangan kanan tapi tak dapat jugak,
kemudian guna tangan kiri pun tak dapat jugak.
Kemudian isteri saya cuba menggunakan mulut pula,
memula dia pakai gigi dalam tapi tak dapat jugak,
kemudian guna gigi di luar pun dapat jugak. Sungguh
susah, akhirnya kami panggil anak perempuan jiran di
sebelah rumah kami, dan dia juga telah mencuba gunakan
mulut dan tangan tapi tak dapat-dapat jugak." Terang

Doktor amat terperanjat. "Apa..! Awak mintak tolong
dari anak perempuan jiran awak..??!!!!"
Lelaki tua itu menjawap lagi. "Ya betul tuan doktor,
bagaimana kuatnya kami berusaha, tapi masih tak
dapat-dapat juga nak bukak..............PENUTUP BOTOL

When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives mean the most to us,
we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures,
have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand.
The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion,
who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement,
who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness
, that is a friend who cares.

gemuruh tabuh bukan kepalang,
diasah lembing berkilat2
gementar tubuh harimau belang,
nampak kambing pandai bersilat.
anak cina menggali cacing
mari diisi dlm tempurung,
penjual sendiri tak kenal dacing
alamat jualan habis diborong.
biduk buluh bermuat tulang
anak siam pulang berbaris,
duduk mengeluh panglima helang,
melihat ayam bercengkang keris.
buah jering dari jawa,
naik sigai ke atas atap,
ikan kering lagi ketawa,
dengar tupai baca kitab!!!!!

history of acid rain
The corrosive effect of polluted, acidic city air on limestone and marble was noted in the 17th century by John Evelyn, who remarked upon the poor condition of the Arundel marbles. Since the Industrial Revolution, emissions of sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides to the atmosphere have increased. In 1852, Robert Angus Smith was the first to show the relationship between acid rain and atmospheric pollution in Manchester, England. Though acidic rain was discovered in 1852, it was not until the late1960s that scientist began widely observing and studying the phenomenon. The term "acid rain" was coined in 1870s after The New York Times promulgated reports from the Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest in New Hampshire of the myriad deleterious environmental effects demonstrated effects demonstrated to result from it.

Industrial acid rain is a substantial problem in China and Russia and areas down - wind from them. These areas all burn sulfur - containing coal to generate heat and electricity. Laporan Ekspedisi Mendaki Gunung Kinabalu Sekolah Menengah St. Anthony
Tanggal 31 Mei 2010 sempena cuti sekolah pertengahan tahun, Kelab Rekreasi Sekolah Menengah St. Anthony telah mengadakan ekspedisi mendaki Gunung Kinabalu. Ekspedisi mendaki Gunung Kinabalu merupakan program tahunan sekolah di samping menguji ketabahan mental dan fizikal pendaki. Ekspedisi kali ini disertai oleh 20 orang pelajar tingkatan 2 dan 3, iaitu 12 orang pelajar lelaki dah 8 orang pelajar perempuan. Turut mengiringi ialah 5 orang guru, iaitu Cikgu Ravinathan, Cikgu Yusri, Cikgu Kenneth, CIkgu Mala, dan Cikgu Arlina.
Pada jam 7.30 pagi, kami semua telah berkumpul di tapak perhimpunan sekolah sebelum bertolak dengan menaiki bas ke Terminal Feri. Kami dijangka menaiki feri ke Kota Kinabalu pada jam 9.30 pagi. Perjalanan feri mengambil masa lebih kurang dua jam setengah. Tepat jam 1.00 tengah hari, feri yang kami naiki telah berlabuh di Terminal Feri Kota Kinabalu. Bas yang disewa telah sedia menunggu kami untuk dibawa ke Taman Kinabalu.
Tepat jam 8.00 pagi pada tanggal 28 Mei 2010 kami memulakan pendakian dengan dipandu oleh dua orang jurupandu yang berpengalaman. Kami memulakan pendakian dari pohon Timpohon dalam suasana pagi yang dingin dan menyamankan.
Sepanjang perjalanan kami akan berhenti rehat di pondok-pondok yang telah disedaikan dan kami berpeluang menghilangkandahaga dengan air gunung yang bersih lagi sejuk. Menjelang pukul 2.00 petang, kami berrehat di tempat persinggahan Laban Rata sebelum meneruskan perjalanan ke puncak pada jam 2.30 pagi nanti. Di Laban Rata, kami berpeluang rehat di bilik masing-masing dan menjamah makanan di restoran.
Suasana pagi yang sungguh dingin hinggan kr tulang hitam pada jam 2.30 pagi memaksa kami sema menyarung pakaian yang tebal, sarung tangan, dan topeng muka. Menurut jurupandu kami, cuaca yang terlalu sejuk boleh menyebabkan hidung berdarah. Pendakian ke puncak agak mencabar kerana jalan yang licin dan keadaan yang masih gelap.
Tepat jam 6.00 pagi, kami tiba di Puncak Law. Kami dapat menghirup udara dingin pagiyang bersih lagi nyaman, nenikmati pandangan matahari terbit serta dapat melihat dengan jelas pekan Ranau dan Kundasang. Selepas beberapa ketika kami bertolak turun semula ke tempat persinggahan seterusnya ke kaki gunung.
Sebelum bertolak balik ke Wilayah Perseketuan Labuan, kami sempat melawat sekitar Taman Kinabalu dah Kolah Air Panas Poring. Rombongan ekspedisi tiba di Waliyah Persetuan Labuan pada 30 mei 2010 jam 6.00 petang.
Selama empat hari ekspedisi dijalankan, kami semua bersyukur kerana berjaya pulang dengan selamat ke destinasi masing-masing. Walaupun badan terasa lenguh-lenguh, namun hati masing-masing berasa puas kerana telah berjaya menawan gunug yang kedua tertinggi di Asia Tenggara.
Di harapkan pada tahun akan datang Kelab Rekreasi dapat menganjurkan ekspedisi lain yang lebih mencabar.
